Hi, I’m Christina. I live in a lovely quiet square with lots of trees and lawn in the heart of Carlton (Victoria, Australia). This journal is mostly about singing and photography, with a bit about IT thrown in because that’s what I teach for a living.
I love to sing and have had lessons with several teachers over the past few years. My current teacher is Bill Bamford. I’ve sung with the RMIT choir on and off as well, but my work commitments often make it difficult to attend rehearsals, and the truth is that I don’t have a very good ear, so find it difficult to learn new repertoire, and don’t always sing in tune. I love singing in the shower though.
For many years I’ve had an interest in photography. Nature photography on slide film and B&W prints of landscapes and portraits were my main interests last century. I let it lapse for a few years, but now am getting back into it again with a digital SLR and Photoshop on my computer. After joining a microstock site in Feb ‘07 I started to take my photography more seriously, have been working to improve my technical standards, and even started doing some more artistic work, inspired mostly by Cindy Sherman. In addition to stock work I contribute to RedBubble and PassionForPixels.
I’m currently developing skills in Illustration and 3D work. This is very much a work in progress, and I’m not up to commercial standards yet.
